The Cottage
Bron Dalar Cottage is more than 200 years old and used to be an old fisherman's cottage and smoke-house. Now, it's updated and although it's small, it's quite lovely. And best of all is the location - just a couple of minutes off Junction 15 of the A55 but only a few second's walk to the Promenade and it's lovely beach.
The cottage is situated alongside our house, and looks out over our garden, which in spring and summer is full of multicoloured flowers. Unfortunately you won't have access to the garden as our dogs are often out there - but if you're bringing a dog yourself you can rest easy that the small concreted path outside the cottage door is secure, our dog's cannot get into that area and yours won't be able to get out, unless you have opened the gate.
A word about electric car charging - unfortunately we do not have the facilities for you to charge a car here. Your vehicle will be parked out on the Promenade a couple of hundred metres from the cottage door and you will be unable to get it close enough for charging. Please do bear this in mind before booking, you will NOT be able to run a cable from the cottage to charge your car.

By the sea, but sheltered from the wind
We are very close to the beach, as you can see from the picture here - I have written 'Cottage' in red on the roof of the cottage. The line of houses behind are on the Promenade and they do provide us with a lot of shelter when the wind comes in off the sea. In the distance you can see Anglesey (Beaumaris) and then Penmon point and lighthouse, then Puffin Island. Coming back in to the shore you can see the boat park and in front of it a jetty (great for fishermen as the tide comes in). Everything on the beach to the left of that jetty and then through to Aber, the next village, is dog friendly all year round. There's a small section to the right of that jetty, that is kept dog free from 1st May to 30th September. As you look at this you can see the Pavilion cafe out on the front - that building on its own with the red roof. To the left of it there's a little river with a bridge over. That takes you into an area with a small 'lake' that houses a pair of swans, there's a playground, tennis courts, then our football field and you can walk either on the sand or the hard surfaced area along here through to the salt flats by Aber. There's another little river here that our dogs love to have a little swim in when it's warm. This will take you into a loop (unless you want to go further) and bring you back home. This section is quite famous for visits by unusual birds, too.
